As a Principal and Board Member of RNL, Joshua Gould has served the firm in many leadership and project roles since 1985. He excels at developing strategic solutions for corporate clients and has successfully managed several long-term client relationships in which RNL has provided a full-range of planning and design services for large corporations with facilities in several states. Key projects/clients include The Cable Center, Ball Aerospace, Lockheed Martin.

Richard L. von Luhrte, FAIA, LEED AP
President, Board member

Named 2008 Architect of the Year by AIA Colorado, Rich von Luhrte is a Principal and Board Member of RNL, where he has served a design and leadership role for well over two decades. His expertise lies in urban design planning and community development for large-scale complex projects often involving multi-use or transportation-related facilities. Key projects include Union Park Downtown Master Plan, Las Vegas; Horizon Center new town, Aurora, Colorado; Rapid City Rushmont Mixed Use residential project, Rapid City South Dakota; and Cairo Heights new town, Cairo, Egypt.

Michael Brendle, FAIA
Board Member, Director of Design

Michael Brendle joined RNL in 2005 after he spent 23 years leading Michael Brendle Architects and Brendle APV, which specialized in Civic Architecture. Michael is active in the design process and critique of all major projects at RNL and as a visiting critic at the University of Colorado. Michael works to achieve Critical Architecture with dedication and insight, requiring open and honest discourse and a great measure of trust. As issues of budget, context, materials and function are weighed, Michael transforms program into forms and detail that move beyond definable, formal or historic precedent into a realm of place and timelessness which have a profound impact on the excellence of architecture.

John B Rogers, FAIA
Founding Partner, Principal Emeritus

With 50 years architectural experience, John B Rogers is the Founder and Principal Emeritus of RNL. He was named AIA Colorados Architect of the Year for 1991 for his contributions to the profession. In 1994, John received the Silver Medal from the Western Mountain Region of AIA for contributions to the region.

Ned A. Minor
Board Member

Ned Minor is an RNL Board Member and attorney with Minor & Brown, P.C. A founding partner of his firm, Ned has been a leading transaction attorney, handling hundreds of mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions and related financial matters for more than twenty-five years. He has received numerous awards for civic activities and has recently completed a book on insights on the process and challenges of selling a business.

Richard T. Anderson, AIA, LEED AP
Principal

Dick Anderson is a Principal in RNL's Denver office with over 35 years of award winning, high profile project experience. Dick's focus most recently has been on large mixed use commercial facilities incorporating residential, hospitality, office, and/or retail space. He has served a key project leadership role on many of the firms largest and most complex projects including One Steamboat Place (a luxury resort condominium), The Wellington Webb Municipal Office Building, and multiple mid and high rise mixed use residential projects. Dick is also a LEED Accredited Professional focused on sustainable design in all RNL projects and currently completing 1800 Larimer, a LEED Platinum office high rise building.

Kevin Andrew
Principal, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer

Kevin Andrew, Principal, is Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for RNL. With more than 30 years of experience in senior financial and operational management at architectural, engineering and technology firms, Kevin provides strategic financial leadership to RNL’s operations while continuing to focus on delivery of exceptional service to clients.

AnneMarie Dienstbach
Principal

AnneMarie Dienstbach is a Principal and heads up the firm's Corporate Interior Design studio. She has more than 25 years of experience and has served a number of client types including corporate, governmental, hospitality and entertainment.

Carl E. Hole, AIA, LEED AP
Principal

Carl Hole is a Principal with RNL and has over 25 years of experience in the Architecture field involving all phases of projects from developing programming standards and procedures to contract administration for a variety of projects. He currently heads RNL’s Denver Architecture studio and is Director of Operations for the firm, providing management, mentorship, techncial guidance and review as well as overall leadership. His project experience includes a variety of public projects including municipal, higher education and institutional. He also has experience with large corporate clients such as Ball Aerospace and Qwest Communications.

Patrick M. McKelvey, AIA
Principal and Regional Director of Abu Dhabi Office

Pat McKelvey is a Principal and Regional Director of RNL's Abu Dhabi office. Mr. McKelvey's experience includes international planning and design projects, sustainable communities, transit projects, parking structures, office buildings, and corporate office interiors. Key projects include the Burj Dubai Master Plan, Lu'Luat Al Raha, Shams Abu Dhabi, Forest of Seih Sdeirah Master Plan, Najmat Abu Dhabi, Al Ghadeer, Ghantoot Phase 1, Movenpick Laguna Tower, and several other confidential projects in the middle east.

Carl G. Price, AIA, LEED AP
Principal

Carl Price joined RNL in 2004 as a Principal in RNL's Phoenix office. Bringing more than 18 years of experience as Project Manager, Project Architect and Project Designer, Carl specializes in facilities for higher education and related institutional clients. His track record of successful projects for the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, Arizona Western College, Northern Arizona University and the Maricopa County Community College District, among many others, speaks to his expertise and commitment to this facility type. Key projects with RNL include the Glendale Community College North Campus Master Plan and Phase 1 Buildings and Arizona State University Decision Center for the New Arizona.

Craig Randock, AIA, LEED AP
Design Principal

Craig Randock brings more than 25 years of experience of creative design solutions for office complexes, higher education, research laboratories, and master planning. Based in RNL’s Phoenix office, He is responsible for leading the office’s programming, planning and design efforts. Current RNL projects for which Craig is involved include leading the design of the new Research Support Facilities at the US Dept. of Energy, National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Glendale Community College Business and Information Technology remodel, Glendale Community College North Campus and the City of Mesa Courts project.

Tania Salgado, AIA, LEED AP
Design Principal

Tania Salgado is a Design Principal with more than 15 years experience in the planning, designing and leading of a wide variety of projects, including public buildings, educational facilities and private development. She was recently named the 2009 AIA National Young Architect of the Year, 2007 AIA Western Mountain Region Young Architect of the Year and 2006 AIA Denver Young Architect of the Year. She was one of six finalists in this Years Denver Business Journals "Power Book" for Architecture. Salgado strives to create architecture that is compelling and meaningful with acceptance of only the very best. Her design focus is that of continuous innovation, trying new ideas, pushing the concepts of design ahead, creating architecture of significance.

Richard G. Shiffer, AIA, LEED AP
Principal

Dick Shiffer, a Senior Principal with more than 30 years of planning and design experience, has served in a variety of capacities including project planner, project manager and project principal in both the Denver and Phoenix offices. Since joining RNL in 1981, he has distinguished himself as an expert in the planning and design of transportation, municipal and church facility projects, with more than 50 transportation municipal projects and more than 30 church projects to his credit. Key projects include Central Platte Public Works Campus, RTD Elati Light Rail Maintenance Facility, East Valley Bus Operations & Maintenance Facility, Mesa Municipal Court, Faith Bible Chapel, and Vineyard Church.

Douglas A. Spuler, AIA, LEED AP
Principal

Doug Spuler brought his talent as a designer and architect to RNL in 1994 and is a Principal of the firm. He is a registered architect with an extensive portfolio of diverse project experience, including over 2,400 residential units, several large urban mixed-use projects, more than forty contemporary church facilities and many other building types. In addition to being a Principal, Doug has also served as project designer, project manager, and project architect. Key projects include The Spire Mixed Use Residential High Rise, Colorado's Ocean Journey Aquarium, Clayton Lane Mixed-Use Facility, 15th and Pearl Mixed-Use Facility and Southeast Christian Church.

Florian D. Walicki
Principal

Florian Walicki is a Principal specializing in federal government, criminal justice, and institutional projects. He is recognized nationally as an institutional planning and design expert for secure treatment facilities and excels at managing large, complex projects. Key projects include Sand Creek Secure Treatment Center, US Space Command Headquarters, the Statewide Master Plan for Juvenile Rehabilitation Facilities in the State of Washington, and the Fort Carson Brigade Battalion Headquarters.

Thomas M. Wuertz, AIA, LEED AP
Design Principal

Tom Wuertz is a Principal and has more than 14 years of providing design expertise and talent on a wide variety of projects. At RNL, Wuertz focuses on designing vibrant urban redevelopment and mixed-use projects across the U.S. and around the world. His design philosophy is centered around the principle that truly great architecture must be of its time and place, and it must seamlessly integrate sustainable design.
